November 15
Family caregiving often brings us to a place where we wonder if we can go on another day. Fear whispers “What if I can’t keep doing this?” and in our weakness it is easy to give in to the worries and exhaustion. How we go forward in these moments is important.
This verse doesn’t tell us to feel strong or pull ourselves up by our bootstraps. We are supposed to trust and rely on God for his strength to keep going.
When your courage is wavering, know that God is unchanging. Where your energy wanes, his strength is there to sustain you. You are never carrying this load alone when God is your salvation. The Chief Shepherd is ready to lead you beside the still waters and restore your soul.
Prayer for today:
Heavenly Father, you alone are my strength and salvation. My heart trusts in you to supply my needs and I praise you with song. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
