This passage is part of David’s Song of Thanks as he and the Levites brought the ark of the covenant to the city of David. He was celebrating, giving thanks to God who had brought his people through every trial. They played music with harps and lyres, dressed in fine linen robes, blew the shofar, and danced down the street in celebration. No one in the city could have missed that testimony.

As caregivers, we have countless trials. I want to remind you to not lose heart on the hard, weary, or lonely days. You are not going unnoticed. God is still working in your life, doing good for you and your loved one. He gives you strength when you are weak. He gives peace when you are overwhelmed. He gives grace and mercy when we fail to live by his Word.

Those small moments—miracles of God’s love—are worth sharing. Your story of faith is a memory stone to look back on and remember God’s faithfulness. When we share God’s enduring love for us, the ways he sustains us, we are edifying the church.

Today, take a moment to notice where God has shown up in your caregiving journey. Perhaps he provided a joyful friend when you were feeling low. Maybe he helped meet a financial need. Perhaps he gave you a word of encouragement from a fellow believer. Give him praise for these gifts of his love. Then tell the story somewhere. You may just give someone else the hope they need.

Prayer for today:

Heavenly Father, thank you for being a living, loving God. Help me to share my praise with others who may need to hear it. May my life reflect your love today and always. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
